Racers, if you haven't already, please send us a registration form so we'll have something to say about you. You can download it from this website. All feature winners for the rest of the season will receive a free "IMCA Feature Winner" cap for each win, courtesy of IMCA & Speedway Motors. We considering an end of the year race- based on a team concept that worked well in drag racing. Drag racers would compete all year to qualify for the #1 team from each of 9 racetracks. These tracks would send their #1 and even #2 teams to that race, where the most round wins by a track there would net the team the "Team Championship" and jackets saying such, and bragging rights for a year. As an example, adapted to dirt track, each track could send it's best five from each of 4 IMCA classes. To win the team championship, Team Cardinal modified racers would be rooting for Cardinal Hobby stock teammembers, and I Stockers supporting Sport Mod teammates. Also, your competitor all year is now your teammate & you want him to do well. Racers who qualified for 2 or 3 teams could pick the one team (track) they preferred to run for. In drag racing, this grew from 110 cars to 360 in a few years. All the details could be worked out, but is the CONCEPT worth pursuing? Let us know what you think. Our souvenir stand now carries Champion caps, IMCA caps, Hoosier caps, Champion decals, IMCA decals, Champion shirts, IMCA shirts, racing magazines, & more. Check it out. Sign sponsors for this year are: RaceWright Coatings (sprints), Double H Bands (modified), Andrews Fab Shop (I-Stock), Young Building Systems (Sport Mod), Woody's Advanced Fabrication (Street Stock), Briley Trucking (Hobby Stock), & Hose Connection (Stock 4). Meet the crew: Waylon Lacy is the race director & flagman, & Kenneth Imler is the tech man. Signs are now available at the racetrack. A 2x4 is $200. A 3x4 is $275. A 4x4 is $350. A 4x8 is $700.
